Heights Church
Challenge
Heights Church had outgrown its leased spaces multiple times as its congregation rapidly expanded. With interest in purchasing the Gayton Centre Shopping Center, the church needed to determine the feasibility of transforming a mostly vacant 1980s retail center into a dynamic worship and community space.
Solution
INTEC Group partnered with Heights Church in 2021 to assess the site’s potential and guide the transformation. Following the purchase in 2022, we developed a phased approach to convert former retail spaces—including an old Ollie’s Bargain Outlet—into a modern worship center. With construction set for completion in Spring 2024, the church will soon have a permanent home featuring a 1,500+ seat sanctuary. Additionally, INTEC is conducting a site analysis to support future expansion, including enhanced children’s ministry facilities, Pre-K to 5th-grade education spaces, and improved site circulation for seamless access.
