Floris United Methodist Church
Challenge
Floris United Methodist Church sought to expand its facilities, but a review of the existing master plan revealed a major issue—the proposed design would have unintentionally worsened interior circulation bottlenecks rather than alleviating them. The challenge was to create a solution that enhanced flow while meeting the church’s growing needs.
Solution
INTEC Group reimagined the expansion with a 93,600 sq. ft., two-story addition that includes an 800-seat sanctuary and a spacious gathering area, significantly improving circulation between the new and existing spaces. The worship area was designed to support multiple worship styles, balancing the intimacy of a sacred space with cutting-edge theatrical lighting, audio, and visual systems. This thoughtful approach ensured both functionality and a meaningful worship experience.
