Managing Principal – DC Office

Susan is Managing Principal of the new INTEC Group office in DC. In addition to spearheading the launch of the DC office, Susan plays a pivotal role in client relationships and design. Susan’s 27 years of experience have helped her develop a reputation for thinking strategically and maximizing results. Susan earned her Bachelor of Science in Interior Design from Virginia Tech. She is a LEED Accredited Professional, is a member of the International Interior Design Association, and a certified Interior Designer. Susan sits on several boards including the Virginia Tech Interior Design Advisory Board and the Executive Committee for the American Diabetes Association. She has also won numerous awards from professional organizations including the International Interior Design Association, NAIOP, and the Virginia Society of AIA for corporate office, retail and specialty projects for interior design. Susan is currently developing a new creative process that will benefit clients, partners, and INTEC staff, called The Design Accelerator.

Susan believes in increasing customer satisfaction by helping companies visualize their brand up front so that the final design is a true reflection of their organization. Susan enjoys the thrill of being able to do what seems to be impossible. She loves her work because she believes it is at the cross-section of art, technology, branding, and architectural space. It is an extension of the business, the brand, the culture and the people.


In her spare time…

Susan enjoys watching her children play basketball and soccer. She is consistently amazed at what they can do.

For Susan, not being in architecture and design isn’t even a hypothetical possibility. She loves that her work is constantly evolving and she can’t imagine doing anything else.
