Gigi Escalona

Project Manager – Fairfax Office

As a Project Manager at INTEC Group, Gigi’s skill set spans across three of our core capabilities – architecture, design, and fitments. She facilitates projects from beginning to end – participating in test fitting, design, construction documents and construction administration. Gigi has her Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Marymount University, where she attained the Sr. Gabrielle Berg Memorial Award. She also has an Associate’s degree in Applied Science in Architecture Technology from Northern Virginia Community College. She recently won the 2014 Chairman Award from the Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce.

Gigi’s listening and interpersonal skills afford her the ability to fully understand clients’ needs, tailor the design to their vision, and collaborate with both the client and her team throughout the process.

She is inspired by nature, people, music, and images. What excites her most about her job is seeing an idea transform from a drawing on a piece of paper into a physical space. Gigi also enjoys participating in, learning from, and networking at design and furniture trade shows.

In her spare time…

She likes to be with her family, since they are so important to her. She enjoys being with her coworkers and friends and travelling, especially to the beach. She also delights in refinishing and restoring found furniture and art pieces.

If she wasn’t working in this industry, she would…

Not see herself doing something outside of design/architecture. She could see herself teaching design/architecture – but even that would be too far removed!
