In order to create a global impact, we have to stay connected to what’s happening in our community, beyond just the architecture and design industry. Research and observations spark ideas, which trigger conversations to help us connect the dots.
What if you were able to carve out a time and a space during the day to discuss these observations, reflect on things you’ve found interesting in the world around you and generate ideas as a group to make a larger impact?
Fortunately, at INTEC, we get this opportunity one Friday a month. As a team, we share and explore ideas that stretch our design capabilities. These sessions have proven to help us stay current on technology and trends, while finding inspiration from outside industries and beyond.
The best part? There’s no pressure! We stand around and simply hold a conversation about ideas and thoughts people bring to the table. We ask questions, showcase new findings, discuss articles, and challenge each other to think outside the box.
Our discussions have centered around a wide-range of topics including sustainable housing, the notion of “Living Office” supported by a Herman Miller whitepaper, a Steelcase podcast, and technology’s impact on the workplace. Even if it’s just pulling out the iPads and exploring the internet, we make time to connect with the world and pull inspiration from every corner.
We also share these discussions on social media, keeping our Instagram current with Knowledge Share topics and ideas. Want to stay in the loop? Follow us to make sure you don’t miss a beat! @intecgroup
